[ The house was quiet for the most part. All that could be heard was the sounds of dishes being washed and tinkering being done with the van in the garage. Nico had gone off... well Kyrie wasn't actually sure where she had run off to. She had asked if she wanted any company, but Nico told her it wouldn't be anything fun and she didn't want Kyrie to worry, She'd be back later on that night because who in their right mind would miss some of her cooking.
That left Nero. It almost felt like it had been a while since the two of them were alone in the house together. A small smile formed on her lips as she dried her hands from the dishes. She was almost done with them, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to pay Nero a visit in the garage. Maybe he might need something? She hung the dish towel up and quietly made her way to the garage door, peeking her head inside. She could announce she was coming in, but she thought it might be more fun to "sneak" up on him. She toed off her shoes and quietly tiptoed into the garage, pausing momentarily to see if Nero was paying attention. ]
[ Lucky for Kyrie, Nero is not exactly paying attention... although it's kinda hard to do that when you're part demon and all and ever since the whole losing his arm in the garage fiasco, he kinda pays a bit more attention to his surroundings. Can't be too careful about who might show up unannounced, right?
Kyrie, however, is a welcome unannounced visitor and while he has his head stuck under the roof of the van, he can't help but smile a little to himself as he gives the most subtle glance over his shoulder without really giving much in the way of movement.
Rather than claim that he's caught her, he just continues to smile to himself while tinkering around with the engine that Nico has somehow shot. Again. For like the fourth time this month. Damn, girl, what are you doing to this baby? ]
[ Her movements were slow and as quiet as she could possibly make herself. Part of it was trying to make sure she didn't make a single noise he could hear, and the other part was that she found herself getting distracted with the way he worked. Even when this old girl didn't quite cooperate with him, he was still so dedicated to her and that made Kyrie smile. Nero was never one to give up without a fight and that showed in everything that he did.
Ah...! She had been staring for too long. She snapped out of it and quietly made a few more steps closer to him. Tiptoe tiptoe tiptoe...until she stepped on a tool lying on the ground. It made a bit of a clang sound which made her jump. A hand quickly covering her mouth.
Mentally she kept repeating to herself "Please dont hear that... please don't hear that..." and she almost seemed frozen in place as if trying to gauge how much he was paying attention. ]
[ The clanging draws soft laughter from his lips that he does his best to keep to himself. Oh, Kyrie. What sort of game are they playing today? Sure helps that Nico isn't around to yell something at him with that blabbermouth of hers.
So, continuing to play the oblivious role between them, he wipes at his brow with the back of a hand and goes about twisting something here and there on the engine with his tool, all the while smiling to himself with a bit of a glance off in the direction which Kyrie is coming from... but not making that obvious just like before. ]
[ Did he... did he just laugh? No, that must have been her imagination. He still seemed so focused on the van. She let out a quiet sigh of relief. Her cover wasn't blown quite yet! At least, that's how she felt which oddly filled her with a bit more confidence. After a minute or two of standing there in silence just to make extra sure he was distracted, she started moving again.
Now she was starting to shift more out of his line of sight and moving more toward his back. If she wanted to sneak up on him properly, she was going to have to get him from behind. With more confident strides forward in her stealth, she takes a deep breath before jumping at his back and trying to reach up to cover his eyes from behind. ]
[ When she makes her sneak attack for him, he lets her, even to reach up and cover those eyes of his which only seems to make him grin a little more as he straightens up some then and tilts his head to the side. Well well, whoever could this be? Humming in thought, he brings a hand up to gently trail the tips of his fingers against the backs of her hands. ]
Hm. Soft hands, smooth skin... well this can't be Dante.
[ She giggles softly while burying her face into his back a little. Even if she really did sneak up on him, there was no way he didn't know who it was by now, but she appreciated him humoring her like this which only meant she had to humor him in return. She doesn't let go yet, and tries to make her voice sound more boyish, though it just comes off as her making a silly voice really. ]
What? You trying to say my hands are smooth as a new born babe, kid?
[ Does Dante even talk like that? Probably not... ]
[ The moment he turned around to face her she just starts to laugh more. She may not have successfully snuck up on him, but she did successful distract him from his maintenance and that was like a win in a way. Now that she had his attention, her arms fell and wrapped around his his midsection, her laughter dying down just a little. ]
Don't worry, Nero. If you have any nightmares, I'll scare them all away.
[ He allows himself to lean back against the van, his own arms draping themselves over her shoulders as he grins down to her. While he might get a little irritated if Nico interrupts him (especially when she's jabberin' on about whatever), with Kyrie? Well, she's a welcome distraction as far as he's concerned.
Reaching up with an arm, he grips the top of the hood, fingers curling under while he keeps Kyrie close against him, a glance given off to the garage door for only a second or two; can never be too sure after all. ]
Y'know... Nico's gone out for a bit and somethin' tells me... she might not be back for awhile. [ A glance over his shoulder to the van, he looks back to Kyrie. ] Nothing wrong with the inside...
Maybe some sweet dreams with a little bit of action.
[ Because a dream filled with sparkles and rainbows didn't really seem like it'd be up Nero's alley, but a dream where he could kick butt with no worries, he might like that just a tad bit more.
She smiles up at him, content to just stand like this with him for even a little while. She doesn't try to distract him from his work all the time, but the opportunity seemed too good to pass on.
She was following his gaze, standing on one foot for a moment to get a better look at the van when she realizes what he might be hinting at. Her cheeks started to flush and her heart started to beat a little faster. At first it almost seemed like she wasn't going to go for it, but then she grabs for his hand and gives it a gentle tug. ]
[ The fact that she tugs on his hand gives him a bit of surprise, but it's quickly overshadowed with everything else that takes over and he grins a bit as he allows himself to be pulled around to the side of the van. ]

[ It's with a hand slamming down the hood, he comes up behind Kyrie with a hum, his one arm wrapped around her waist, before he reaches out to pull the door open and steps to the side, gesturing for her to step on in. ]
[ She giggles softly, sounding a bit bubbly and a little flustered at the same time. They didn't get much time to themselves lately, and she couldn't help the way her heart flutters when Nero gave her those loving smiles. Even after all this time, without even trying, Nero could sweep her off her feet, sometimes even literally. ]
Such a gentleman...
[ She steps up, but before she enters the Van she turns around and leans over as much as she could so she could give him a quick peck on the cheek before slipping into the van fully. ]
[ Nico's right, you know... Kyrie is too good for him and he knows it but... damn if he doesn't think she's the best thing to ever happen to him.
Climbing in after her, he pulls the door shut and waits for it to lock before he makes his way over to the sofa and reaches around to grab Kyrie by her waist, pulling her down with him. Of course, by pulling her down? He totally pulls her down onto his lap, that's right, the comfiest spot in the entire van... or so he likes to think. It's with a grin on his lips that he leans in then and gives her a proper kiss, lips brushing over hers nice and slow before he pulls back just enough to look to her. ]
Hey, be honest with me here... you miss Sweet Surrender?
[ Even as he asks, he holds up his right hand which is no longer blue and red nor robotic and mechanic but human flesh, much as it had been once upon a time. ]
[ Nero might feel like he wasn’t good enough, but Kyrie felt differently, that instead it was her who gained so much more out of this. She felt utterly spoiled by Nero time and time again and there was nothing in the world that would ever make her feel differently about him.
She let out a soft sound when Nero pulled her into his lap, that smile of hers only seeming to grow more. She could get used to a nice comfortable throne like this, though it would probably cause Nero more teasing in his life from Nico if they did. She was pulled away from her thoughts when Nero kissed her. Her heart felt like it was swelling and she kissed him back, hands gently gripping at Nero’s shirt to keep him close to her.
It was at the mention of sweet surrender that had her face really turning red. Her eyes dart to his hand and then back to him ]
It was... an experience like no other, but...[ She gently reaches out for that hand now and pulls it to her lips so she could kiss his knuckles and his palm, and everywhere else she could see as she turned his hand around. ] what I really like is that you... no matter what always think about how I feel inside and out and I don’t need sweet surrender for that.
